Dr. Meena Iyer
Director of Risk Management
Dr. Meena Iyer (she/they) serves as the Director of Risk Management at Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital. She has a system level approach to risk management and is dedicated to creating and sustaining systems that support the dignity and safety of both team members and populations served. Meena has varied frontline and leadership experience throughout the healthcare continuum, including critical care, reproductive care, mental/ behavioral health and public health.
She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with the specialty of Health Innovation and Leadership, and a Master of Nursing degree. She brings a strong background in nursing leadership, human centered design, and just culture. Her focus has been on improving safety and engagement in the workplace by increasing joy and empowerment of frontline team members. Meena is passionate about healthcare equity and access and is very excited to be a part of such a momentous addition to mental health care in the Twin Cities.
