Sarah Thomas, MSW, LICSW
Director of Admissions
Sarah Thomas is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health, specializing in emergency mental health, outpatient mental health, and operations. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to improving access to quality mental healthcare while ensuring patients receive compassionate, timely, and clinically appropriate services.
Prior to joining Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital, Sarah spent nearly 10 years providing psychiatric assessments and crisis intervention in hospital emergency departments before transitioning into outpatient behavioral health and clinical leadership. Her experience includes psychotherapy, clinical supervision, operational leadership, and developing processes that support high-quality patient care.
As Director of Admissions, Sarah partners with healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations to ensure patients are connected to the appropriate level of care. She is passionate about reducing barriers to treatment, fostering collaborative relationships, and leading teams that deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Sarah believes every patient deserves to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect from their very first interaction and is committed to creating an admissions experience that reflects those values.
